ENT812: Scientific Writing

Dr. Matt Grieshop is co-teaching ENT812 with Dr. Ed Grafius. The course is offered each Spring and is most applicable to graduate students that have completed a significant portion of their research. Each student will have developed a manuscript as well as a grant proposal by the end of the course.

Course goals are to:

  1. Provide students with a “road map” for the successful authoring of scientific manuscripts
  2. Provide students with an introduction to grant writing

ENT479: Organic Pest Management

ENT 479: Organic Pest Management
Dr. Matt Grieshop teaches a new course titled “Organic Pest Management”  (ENT479) that is offered to upper division undergraduates and graduate students each Fall semester.

Course goals are to:

  1. Develop student knowledge of the philosophical, ecological, and regulatory underpinnings of organic agriculture as they pertain to pest management
  2. Provide students with a basic understading of the three major pest management disciplines (Entomology, Plant Pathology, Weed Science)
  3. Provide students with an ecological and economic understanding of pest management programs. The course consists of a combination of lecture, discussion, and laboratory activities
